| Arrive in Istanbul late this afternoon. Meet our Tour Guide and transfer to our Old City hotel. Tonight we have dinner at a local Turkish restaurant, with traditional food. (D) |

DAY 3: Sun 22 Apr |
CANAKKALE |
| This morning we have a half day tour of Istanbul visiting the remarkable Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the Hippodrome, and the amazing underground Yerebatan Cistern. This afternoon we leave Istanbul and drive to Canakkale on the shores of the Dardanelles. (B, D) |

DAY 4: Mon 23 Apr |
CANAKKALE |
| Full day tour of the battlefields, cemeteries and memorials of the Gallipoli Peninsula. Our visits include ANZAC Cove, the Beach Cemetery, Brighton’s Beach, Shrapnel Valley, the Nek, Chunuk Bair, and Lone Pine. We also visit the Turkish Memorial at Cape Helles on the southern point of the Peninsula. We will have a special picnic lunch at Gallipoli today and toast the ANZAC’S who fought and died here so long ago. (B, L, D) |

DAY 5: Tue 24 Apr |
CANAKKALE |
| Today we visit Troy, with its ancient layers of cities and its replica wooden horse. We continue on to the seaside town of Assos and see the ancient ruins. We will have lunch here before returning to our hotel. Dinner at the hotel tonight and an opportunity to rest before we leave for Gallipoli. (B, L, D) |

DAY 6: Wed 25 Apr |
CANAKKALE |
| A very early departure to attend the Dawn Service at ANZAC Cove. Following this we will walk to the special Australian ANZAC Day Service at Lone Pine. Return to Canakkale late this afternoon and take advantage of an early night. (B, D) |

DAY 7: Thu 26 Apr |
KUSADASI |
| This morning we depart for Kusadasi, visiting the ancient Greek city of Pergamum, with its Acropolis and Medical Centre en-route. (B) |
|
Today we visit Ephesus, one of the best preserved Greco-Roman cities, dating back to 1000BC. Afterwards we visit the House of the Virgin Mary and what remains of the Temple of Artemis, in its day one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. This afternoon we will visit the Selcuk Museum which houses remnants of the Temple of Artemis and other magnificent artefacts from Ephesus and this historic region. (B) |
| Drive to the picturesque coastal town of Bodrum with its charming old town and white washed houses, travelling via the high ruins of Priene and the excavated grand temple at Didyma. (B) |

BODRUM |
|
Morning tour of the Crusader Castle at Bodrum, built by the Knights of St. John in the early 15th century. This afternoon we will cruise the beautiful Aegean Sea in a Turkish gulet, enjoying a fresh lunch on-board. (B, L) |

DAY 11: Mon 30 Apr |
PAMUKKALE |
| We leave Bodrum today and drive to Pamukkale visiting the Necropolis of Hierapolis, one of the largest Roman cemeteries in Asia Minor, en-route. We then visit the white cascades of Pamukkale and have the opportunity to swim in the ancient Roman hot springs bath. (B, D) |

ANTALYA |
| Today we drive to beautiful Aphrodisias, with the world's best preserved stadium, then on through the Taurus Mountains to Antalya on the Mediterranean for overnight. (B, D) |

DAY 13: Wed 2 May |
ANTALYA |
| This morning we visit the best preserved example of a Roman theatre at Aspendos. The rest of the day is at leisure. (B) |

DAY 14: Thu 3 May |
CAPPADOCIA |
| Leave Mediterranean Turkey behind today and drive to Konya where we visit the Mevlana Museum, the origin of the Whirling Dervishes. Continue on to Cappadocia via the 13th century Sultanhani Caravanserai. Dinner at our hotel tonight. (B, D) |

CAPPADOCIA |
| Full day tour of this incredible area visiting the amazing underground city of Kaymakli, Goreme Open-air Museum, and Avanos, the centre of pottery in the district. (B, D) |

DAY 16: Sat 5 May |
ISTANBUL |
| This morning we visit the Uchisar Citadel, the deserted cave village of Zelve and the unique fairy chimneys of Cappadocia. Later we farewell this fascinating region and transfer to the airport for our flight to Istanbul. On arrival in Istanbul we transfer to our Old City hotel. (B) |

| Day at leisure in Istanbul. We transfer to the airport mid-afternoon and check-in for our departing flight. (B) |
