DAY 1: SAIGON
Arrive in Saigon this afternoon and check-in to your central hotel. Overnight in Saigon.
DAY 2: SAIGON
Depart with your guide this morning to visit the amazing Cu Chi Tunnel system used by the Viet Cong in the Vietnam War. You will tour the site and have the opportunity to go into one of the tiny tunnels to see what conditions were really like. Return to Saigon. After lunch you will visit the War Remnants Museum and War Rooms of the Re-unification Palace. You will also see the US Embassy; Rex Hotel (frequented by soldiers and journalists during the war); and other Saigon landmarks. (B, L)
DAY 3: VUNG TAU
This morning you leave Saigon and drive to the port city of Vung Tau, once home to the "Vung Tau Ferry”, HMAS Sydney. After lunch you will visit Radar Hill, and Back Beach, site of the Australian Logistic Support Base. Some time for a little "R & R” this afternoon. Dinner is included tonight. (B, L, D)
DAY 4: SAIGON
Today you visit Nui Dat, site of the Australian Taskforce Base. Here you will see SAS Hill, the airstrip, old southern gate and the Flag Pole. You will also visit Nui Dat Kindergarten, built by Aussie Veterans. Continue through the rubber plantations to the Long Tan Memorial to pay your respects to the Aussie soldiers who fought and died in the Battle of Long Tan on 18 August 1966. You then visit "The Horse Shoe” (once a Fire Support Base), and the Minh Dam Mountains "Secret Zone” cave system, a local VC Headquarters, before returning to Saigon. (B, L)
DAY 5: TOUR ENDS
Your tour ends today after breakfast. (B)

DAY 1: DEPART SAIGON / VUNG TAU
Leave Saigon this morning and drive to the resort town of Vung Tau. After lunch you will visit Radar Hill, and Back Beach, site of the Australian Logistic Support Base. You have some free time to relax by the beach this afternoon. Overnight in Vung Tau. (L, D)
DAY 2: RETURN TO SAIGON
Today you visit Nui Dat, site of the Australian Taskforce Base, where you will see SAS Hill, the airstrip, old southern gate, and the Flag Pole. Continue through the rubber plantations to the Long Tan Memorial, commemorating the Battle of Long Tan on 18 August 1966. You then visit "The Horse Shoe”, (a Fire Support Base) and the Long Phuoc Tunnels. Return to Saigon after lunch. (B, L)
 
 
Full Day Tour
Depart your Saigon hotel early this morning and drive to Nui Dat. Here you will see SAS Hill, the airstrip, and other sites of interest. Continue on to the Long Tan Memorial, commemorating the Battle of Long Tan. You will then visit "The Horse Shoe” and Long Phuoc Tunnels en-route to Vung Tau. After lunch, visit Radar Hill and Back Beach. Late afternoon return to Saigon. (L)
