Regular 2 Day 1 Night Coach Tour

Gallipoli is approximately 5 hours drive south of Istanbul. It is very difficult to get around the Peninsula unless you are with a guide and have a vehicle. These regular tours are an ideal way of visiting the sites important to all Australians.

This Gallipoli excursion departs most days, but does not operate in the ANZAC week.

DAY 1:

CANAKKALE

Pick up from your hotel in the Old part of Istanbul at approx. 6:30 - 7:00 am. Drive to Gallipoli. Full guided tour of the World War 1 battlefield sites, cemeteries, memorials and museum. You will visit ANZAC Cove, Lone Pine, the Beach Cemetery, (where Simpson is buried), the Nek, the Turkish and Allied trenches, Chunuk Bair, and Kabatepe Museum. Cross the Dardanelles and check into your hotel for dinner and overnight. (Lunch and dinner included.)

DAY 2:

After breakfast, you have a tour of Troy. Return to Canakkale for a free afternoon. There are Gallipoli documentary films shown this afternoon for those interested. Late afternoon transfer (approx. 6:00 pm) back to your Hotel. Arrive approx. 11:00 pm.

An option here in Summer is to take the transfer down to Kusadasi, close to Ephesus. This whole tour operates in reverse for some summer departures. (Breakfast is included today.)
