| Depart this afternoon on our flight to Bangkok. On arrival we will be transferred to our hotel for overnight. |
| DAY 2: 29 Nov |
ARRIVE DELHI |
| Early morning transfer to the airport for our flight to Delhi. Arrive in Delhi mid-morning and transfer to our central hotel. This afternoon we have a tour of New Delhi visiting Moghul Emperor Humayun’s Tomb, Laxminarayan Temple, and India Gate. Dinner at the hotel tonight. (D) |
| Full day city tour of Old and New Delhi including Raj Ghat (Ghandi’s cremation site), Jama Masjid Mosque, Qutub Minar, and the Ba’Hai Temple. (B) |
| Day at leisure in Delhi. You may like to visit one of the many museums in Delhi or take our included transfer to Dilli Haat for some great local shopping. (B) |
| This morning we transfer to the airport for our flight to the "Blue City” of Jodhpur. On arrival we will be transferred to our central hotel where we have some time to relax. Tonight we have dinner at the Taj Hari Mahal Palace. (B, D) |
| Morning tour of the majestic Meherangarh Fort, set high on a hill. We will have great views over the sea of blue buildings below from here. Then we will explore the busy local markets of Sadar Bazaar. (B) |
| Today we have a jeep safari through local Rajasthan villages of potters, weavers, and shepherds with the opportunity for sightings of blue bull, antelope, gazelle, and birdlife. We have lunch in one of the villages before returning to our hotel mid-afternoon. (B, L) |
| Early morning transfer to the railway station for the train to Jaipur. This afternoon we travel by rickshaw to visit the Maharaja’s City Palace, then take an orientation walk to see the Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds), and Johori Bazaar. (B) |
| Today we have a tour of the beautifully preserved Samode Haveli (Palace) and its exquisite painting and mirror work. This afternoon our visits will take us to see examples of the local handicrafts of this region. (B) |
| This morning we will take an Elephant ride to visit the Amber Fort with its Palace of Mirrors. We then drive to see the Nehargarh Fort, overlooking Jaipur, and the famous Water Palace where we can take a photo of the palace "floating” on the lake. (B) |
| Day at leisure. Jaipur is a great place to shop for local handicrafts, jewellery, textiles and clothes or perhaps visit the impressive stone observatory, the Jantar Manar. (B) |

Leave Jaipur for Agra today visiting Bharatpur Wetlands Bird Sanctuary en-route. Here we take a rickshaw tour of this World Heritage national park. Later we stop to visit Emperor Akbar’s deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri. Continue to our Agra hotel. (B) |

Today we visit the magnificent Taj Mahal, and Agra Red Fort. Later we visit Emperor Akbar’s Tomb at Sikandra. This evening we will attend a short concert of traditional Indian music followed by dinner at a nearby restaurant. (B, D) |

We leave Agra early this morning and drive to Delhi. Board our flight to the holy Hindu city of Varanasi. On arrival we transfer to our hotel, visiting a silk shop en-route. (B) |

Early morning boat trip on the Ganges River to see the colourful ritual bathing and burning Ghats. Then we take a short walk through the streets of the old city before returning to our hotel. This afternoon we visit Sarnath, the site of Buddha’s first sermon. (B) |
| DAY 16: 13 Dec |
KATHMANDU, NEPAL |

This morning we transfer to the international airport for our flight to Kathmandu. Arrive in Kathmandu early this afternoon and transfer to our central hotel. Later we have a short orientation walking tour of Thamel. (B) |

Today we have a tour to the ancient royal city of Patan, a centre of Buddhist and Hindu culture. We also visit the Tibetan Refugee Centre and Pashupatinath – Nepal’s most important Hindu Temple. Rest of the day at leisure. (B) |

Half day tour of the Buddhist stupas at Bodnath, and Swayambhunath, the "monkey” temple overlooking the Kathmandu Valley. (B) |

Early morning departure to Nagarkot to see the sun rise on the Himalayas. We then take a walk/trek through forest and villages to Changdu Narayan Hindu Temple, a World Heritage site. This afternoon we visit the medieval city of Bhaktapur. (B) |
|
Today is at leisure to explore, or shop. We may have the opportunity to take a special flight over Mt Everest for superb views of the highest mountains in the world. (B) |
