DAY 1: Sunday 23 September |

Join our group at our centrally located hotel. Meet in the lobby for a tour briefing, to meet your fellow travellers and Tour Manager. Dinner at our hotel. (D) |

DAY 2: Monday 24 |
MARRAKECH |
After breakfast we tour the special sights of Casablanca, including an inside visit to the splendid Hassan II Mosque. In the afternoon we drive to Marrakech. Welcome Dinner at an authentic Moroccan Restaurant. (B, D) |

DAY 3: Tuesday 25 |
MARRAKECH |
A full day exploring the sights of Marrakech, including the Saadian tombs, and the landmark Koutoubia Tower. We have this afternoon in the souks (markets) and Djemaa El Fna square with its local entertainers such as snake charmers, jugglers, acrobats, story tellers etc. There is plenty of time to explore the maze of small handicraft shops in the old city's medina. Here you can see examples of the unique pottery, leather products, brassware, and fine jewellery. (B, D) |

DAY 4: Wednesday 26 |
MARRAKECH |

A leisurely breakfast then we will visit the Exotic Majorelles Garden of Yves Saint Laurent. Remainder of today is at leisure to explore Marrakech. (B) |

DAY 5: Thursday 27 |
OUARZAZATE |
|
Today we drive across the High Atlas Mountains to Ouarzazate via the high Tizin Tichka pass. In the afternoon, we have an excursion to Ait Ben Haddou, a World Heritage Site, where the old alleyways and buildings are often used in sets for movies. (B, D) |

After breakfast we drive to Tinerhir via the Dades Valley, and El Kelaa of M'Gouna, famous for its rose water. In the afternoon, we visit the spectacular Todra Gorge, ochre coloured cliffs above cool streams, edged with green palms. Here we can enjoy the cool, shady gorge with a picnic lunch. We continue further to the north-east along the edge of the Sahara Desert arriving this evening in Erfoud. (B, D) |

DAY 7: Saturday 29 |
ERFOUD |
|
Today is is your chance to take a special early morning sunrise or sunset excursion (optional) to Merzouga for a camel ride on the great sand dunes. Today we will enjoy sightseeing around Erfoud, see an ancient Kasbah, and see some of the colourful Berber kilims and carpets of the region. (B, D) |

Today's journey takes us across the High and Middle Atlas Mountains, through Berber villages and fortified Kasbahs situated on the edge of the Sahara, and later through Midelt and the Ziz River. Closer to Fez we will travel through wooded and mountainous country. Overnight in the old Imperial City, Fez. (B, D) |

DAY 9: Monday 1 October |
FEZ |
|
Most of this day is spent seeing the best of Fez, the oldest spiritual and cultural city of Morocco, where we stroll the medina and souks observing craftsmen who are still working in the age old ways. We also visit the Royal Palace, and the Jewish Quarter. Tonight enjoy a Moroccan dinner. (B, D) |

Today enjoy a half day excursion to Immouzer and Ifrane. Immouzer is a small and beautiful Berber town with white buildings. It is hidden in the foot hills of the Atlas Mountains. You can enjoy the spectacular scenery of high and colourful mountains, palm groves, waterfalls, and green valley’s. (B) |
A shorter drive brings us to Meknes, the 17th century city founded by Moulay Ismail. Here we see the Bab el Mansour, the stables and the old Medina. Nearby are the 2nd century Roman ruins of Volubilis with Roman baths, agora, a colonnaded street, a forum and wonderful mosaics. Later, we drive to another Imperial City, Rabat. (B, D) |

In the morning, we will visit the Royal sites, the Hassan Tower, the Mohamed V Mausoleum, and the Kasbah of the Oudayas. Here we can wander the narrow alleys of white-washed houses, each with intricately carved doors and an ornate "Hand of Fatima". This afternoon is at leisure. Tonight enjoy a Farewell Dinner Moroccan style! (B, D) |

DEPART MOROCCO |

Return to Casablanca. Tour ends today. (B) |
